    Problem solving

Where possible we will deal with your problem over the phone, avoiding the need for an engineer to visit. Below are some commonly occurring problems.

    Oil Aga down in temperature

If the cooker has just been serviced, check the electrics are turned on, jiggle the metering stem on the top of the oil box. Has the cooker been serviced in the last six months? If not, it needs a service. It sounds obvious, but do you have oil in your tank?

    Oil Aga up in temperature

Check that the oil control is not switched onto high fire. If it is, change it to automatic. If, when you turn off the electrics, the temperature drops, you probably need a new thermostat. If the temperature stays high, then you need an engineer.
